i seem to have come across a bizarre bug with vectone mobile payg sims and a Huawei HONOR KIW-L21 phone
first it has 2 sim slots and if you read the small print slot 1 only runs 2G and slot 2 can run 2G/3G/4G
so what i think happened is i put my vectone sim in slot 1 first which seems to have disabled data on the HONOR phone (and make tethering invisible when it is inserted into an iphone) but everything works fine when i put it in a MI
- my primary giffgaff sim in my HONOR
- my backup giffgaff sim is in my IPHONE
- my vectone sim is in my MI
the latest vectone mobile deal is 30G for £10 which is comparable to giffgaffs 40G for £20 however there are a couple of bugs
- NO DATA on a HONOR KIW-L21
- Vectone X app errors on a a HONOR KIW-L2 and an IPHONE
so will have to stick with giffgaff for the time being
- giffgaff MVNO runs on O2
- vectone MVNO runs on EE
Vectone X error msg
alert! invalid object name 'topup_configv'.
i wonder what figures are for 2G, 3G, 4G in users/sq km since 5G claims to able to handle 1M users/km which is impressive
Ericsson are predicting that 1.5 billion users – 40 per cent of the global population coverage – will have access to a 5G network by 2024.
A 5G network supports ultra-high-speed data rates of up to 10 Gbps, low latency or delay and can cope with up to a million devices per square kilometer. With 5G, you can download a typical high-definition movie in under 40 seconds, as opposed to more than seven minutes with 4G.
for the last two months @giffgaff have given me an extra 1G free when i overran and the mktg ploy works i was orig on £8, then £10 and now the £20 for 30G deal
i mean works for them 🙂 im now paying £12 a month extra maybe its time to switch to @superdrug mobile or @vectone mobile £10 for 30G
